Glen Oaks Big Sur Elopement
Katherine and Nico wanted the big Redwood trees and the California coastline in their wedding photos. They decided to have their Big Sur Elopement at Glen Oaks so they could have both. Nico and Katherine have been together for 11 years, initially meeting for the first time in their teens. They reconvened in their twenties and called it forever on September 17th at their Glen Oaks Big Sur Elopement!
I find both of them to be so attentive, gentle-spirited, sweet, and loving. I immediately took to Katherine and just love how genuine she is.
Their ceremony was one of the best I have ever heard. Their officiant, Ken Robins, allowed them the freedom to experience raw emotion. He told them to take breaks and hug, to remember what their moment felt like, and gave them the opportunity to take it all in right there on the spot. The entire experience was grounding, meditative, and so full of awareness that it was soothing to witness.
Afterward, Katherine and Nico enjoyed a beach picnic alone together. Katherine designed this mini post-elopement celebration all by herself, going with a very Bohemian design for her post-Glen Oaks Big Sur Elopement “reception.” This second piece was apart of their full-day elopement experience and was equally as mesmerizing as the first. The foggy weather combined with a bare beach made for a beyond peaceful occasion.
I learned early on that road trips are really big for them: hosting some of their nearest and dearest memories. With that said, I am wishing them both incredible adventures ahead and a lot more pizza! 😉 🍕
